About Tom Urtis |

Tom Urtis is a Microsoft Office developer and programming expert, with 25 years of experience in business management and developing Microsoft Office applications for companies of all sizes. Tom founded Atlas Programming Management in 2000, an Office and Excel business solutions company in silicon valley, providing consulting, development, training, and support of fully customized applications for a diverse international clientele. Tom is co-author of "Holy Macro! It's 2,500 Excel VBA Examples", and he is a freelance technical editor and consultant for Excel books and training material. Tom is an Excel instructor and frequent contributor to newsgroups in the Excel community, where he has posted answers to thousands of questions in all areas of Excel. Tom received the Most Valuable Professional award for Excel from Microsoft in 2008, in recognition of his Excel skills and contributions to the Excel community. Tom is one of some 100 Excel experts worldwide to hold the Excel MVP award. Prior to establishing Atlas, from 1983 to 2000, Tom managed hotels and real estate for some of California's highest profile residential and commercial properties. Tom is a graduate of Michigan State University, earned the professional title of CERTIFIED PROPERTY MANAGER®, and he is a licensed broker with the California Department of Real Estate. Outside of his Excel and business ownership activities, Tom is an avid collector of rare sports memorabilia, and he holds a black belt in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do, which he also taught for 2 years.
