Tom’s Tutorials For Excel: Show Your Named Ranges
If you actually want to see your named ranges labeled on your worksheet, you can set your window’s Zoom to 39% or less. Here’s an example.
In this first picture is a company’s annual budget organized for Income, Expenses, and Net Gain. Each of those ranges have been named, aptly enough, “Income”, “Expenses” and “Net_Gain”.
In any version of Excel, you can press Alt+V+Z
to call the Zoom dialog box.
In versions 2003 or before, click View > Zoom
.
In versions 2007 or 2010, click the View
tab and then click the Zoom
icon.
As shown in the next image, set the Zoom to 39% or less and click OK.
Now you will see your named ranges labeled as indicated in the next picture. For demonstration purposes, I increased the font size of the ranges so the 39% zoomed window would be readable on this web page.
