Tom’s Tutorials For Excel: Using the YEARFRAC Function For Fractional Years Between Dates

The YEARFRAC function returns a decimalized number as a fraction of year(s) that represents the count of whole days betweeen the start date (“Hire Date” in the pictured example), and the end date (today’s date in cell F1).

In its simplest form, YEARFRAC takes two primary arguments of start date and end date.
The formula in cell C4 and copied down is =yearfrac(B4,$F$1).

    Sir,
Is there any formula by which I can reflect the data in other blank cells or auto filled the cells by entering a single unique ID/code on a Cell.

Please guide me what to do…

    Regards

I’m not sure I understand your question. In the pictured example, I entered the formula in cell F4 and copied it down as needed, meaning I only truly typed it into a cell (F4) once. Please provide an example of what you are asking for with the expected results and we can take it from there.
